This is not my week...
I was in the process of replacing the driver's side engine mount on an '85 300TD... screw to engine came out ok... outside screw to frame came out ok... and then the dreaded interior screw. It is nearly impossible to get to from the top or the bottom. I managed to get an angle on it with a ratchet and a 6mm hex bit and it freakin' stripped. Because of its position, I can't realistically atttack it from the top, so I'm left with the prospect of cutting through a plate to be able to drill the bolt out from the bottom... arrrrgghhhh!
Please tell me that someone has a secret scheme that can save me from this frustration!!!!! And yes, I have considered the "park it on a hill near the local swim hole and leave it in neutral..."
