I fixed the suspension valve, but....
So I rebuilt my the suspension valve from my 82 300TD because it was leaking fluid. The rear end was also lifting up when the car was put into gear. I figured since the valve was leaking that was why the car rear would lift up, leak down. Well with the rebuilt non leaky suspension valve, and a suspension fluid replacement the rear still lifts when I put the car into gear. I also have a random dull thud in the rear when I hit bumps. Could all this hoop-law be spent accumulators? Or is there something else that has gone bad?
Thanks Andrew

I've had accumulators fail two ways. On the 80 I had complete rear end sag. On the '85 the rear end stays up, but this car bounces like its on a rigid leaf spring suspension. Who knows, maybe it is rigid before it goes completely soft. (sounds bad, but I meant that literally) Maybe your thud is subframe bushings or something similiar. The '80 thuds, and I think it's either subframe bushings or maybe even the rear hatch whamming. Not sure. Your rear end could be raising simply due to the torque.
