What's this hose?

About a foot long, fatter in the middle than the ends coming off the fuel filter head. I was watching it expanding and contracting as the engine idles and it looked just like a snake breathing. Quite a sight! Never seen a hose do that before. Is it suppose to do that or is it about to rupture?

it is your cigar hose. I have seen mine do the same thing(expanding and contracting). After I replaced my primary inline fuel filter, it didnt expand and contract quite as much.

Just be happy. That sucker is supposed to do that. Keeps fuel pressure pulses from causing noise vibrations in the system.

I think the only time it payed to be lazy was when I got my first 123 and saw that hose. I figured it was old and ready to let go. The 'bulge' was so uniform I figured I could wait on it...before I got a good skinny replacement, I heard of the 'cigar' hose.

I believe rupture means it's gonna burst,, rapture is the thing the Christians keep putting on their bumper stickers saying that when it happens there will be no one driving....
