So who else got SNOW today?

I actually woke up this morning to the sight of light snow outside the window ... which later turned into HEAVY snow. We got about four inches ... on OCTOBER 25!!! What the? And I was planning on taking the Benz to the body shop today or tomorrow to get some of the rust spots checked out and perhaps fixed up to avoid getting worse in the harsh winter. I didn't expect the winter to start TODAY. Did any one else get hit with this?

I feel like I should take down the pumpkins and gourds and put up the evergreen garlands and icicle lights!

Got a little bit of snow dust in my area, though there was no accumulation, because the roads are sopping wet from all of the rain.

SNOW? AUUUUUGGGGGHHHH! darn, I'm not ready for that (at least not mentally). Heck, I've still got snow tires to buy. No snow in Cincinnati yet. We usually have at least flurries by Nov 16 (grandmothers' birthday-she's been gone 42 years now).

We had our first snow October 5th. It was a heavy accumulation too. All of it melted. What can I expect when I live this close to the Arctic Circle. One house in my home town already has some of their outdoor holiday decor up. Dashing through the snow

Talking Snow! What is that????

Actually, we rarely get snow but we do get something worse.....black ice!! I have lived in snow areas and know how to drive on it but there is only two things that move a car on black ice, studs or chains. Fortunately, we have few days of it to contend with.

Mom and Dad back home in Iowa had a few flurries last Saturday. Been really frosty here in northeast Kansas the last few mornings. I think the tomatoes got it, but my pepper plants looked pretty good still last night.
