Running B-100........

Saturday, I filled up with B-100, $4.13 a gallon.

Here is what changed......My 603 got impressively quiet! I had been adding cetane boost, mostly Red-Line, which silenced most of the clatter-clatter, but the B-100 enhanced the reduction again as much less clatter!

At a stop light, or sign, I noticed a smooth running engine, barley audible! Stomping the pedal, looking in the rear view, I see a faint white emission, and none at all the next pedal to the floor!

My 603 has never been more quiet!

I plan on diluting with increased fuel-ups the next two weeks. B-20 they say is the line!

I will also carry a spare fuel filter as I expect B-100 will loosen up years of algae and other growths!

$4.13 a gallon? I don't care if it is better than regular diesel fuel, I wouldn't pay that much for B-100 when I can get regular diesel for $2.99, and it won't eat my fuel lines up. I like my B-100 cheaper than regular diesel, which it is in this region.

Running a tank-full of B-100 is like running a tank-full of Lubrimoly diesel purge!

It will clean everything, including the injectors!

After this tank-full, I will run regular diesel again, for at least the next 8 months or so...........

Oh, it's a one time thing. I see, I thought you were going to keep filling up with $4.19 B-100. Yeah, that stuff is really gonna clean your fuel system, make sure you're got PLENTY of spare inline filters.

Thank you....I forgot today to put the new filter in the trunk, anticipating clogging! I've only driven 68 miles with the B-100!

I'm running B-100 now because I'm at the end of expected life from my early spring secondary fuel filter change, and why clog a new filter?

What bothers me more now is that it looks like I'm going to have to replace both front calipers sooner than expected, and we got an inch of SNOW last night, here on Cape Cod!

My beloved 603 is performing beyond expectation, and at while just a tad over 200K, there is negative no blow-by, and only a 1/2 cup of oil needed between 5K oil changes!

I filled up with B100 last week and now have a set of plugged filters. I've run many tanks of B20 and a couple of B100 in the past and had no problems but this time I seem to have been caught.

It's a good idea to keep a set of spare filters in the car when running B100.

Running B-100...

H-town
guess you know that B99 is still $ 2.75 near the airport?

So far I have tried 2 tank fulls and have yet to have fileter problems, but did get a 5-10% mileage 'hit'.
