What's Kero cost where you are?

Just seeing if a 70/30 VO/kero mix will be cheaper than 100 Diesel.

The kero pump and diesel pump sit next to one another. I noticed when I gassed up the other day that they are the same price at my station in Michigan - $3.499!

Is Kerosene and diesel the same? Can they be used instead of each other?

You don't want to fill your tank with kerosene. It is used to cut Veggie oil and help cold start w/ newer old diesels. Manual for older cars lists rug.
Anywhere from 10 to 40% Kero depending on temps.
Don't try it without some research first.

Home Depot in CA

Hi,

Whoa, in TX the kero is cheaper at Home Depot. It is $6/1gallon out here at Home Depot. I'd buy $6/5gallons! That is super cheap, especially since you can blend it with free WVO to make nice one tank fuel.

Cheers,
Yoko

I think gas stations that have a kero pump sell for a lot cheaper than Home Depot. $2.99/ gal here.

K1 (red stuff) @ OK petroleum 2.89/gal , Diesel 2.99/gal as of 11/1. K1 was 2.17/gal until the hurricanes

You can run your diesel on Kerosene if you add some lubrication. 1% of veg oil will work or FPPF makes a additive. It does have less energy than Diesel so you MPG will drop.
