dont have the answer to your

question but can ask some.

what problem were you chasing when haveing pump built?

on my 603 we have solved obscure problems with poor idle and noise by working with injector tip seals and loose injectors. the 603 is apparently very sensitive to these items, where the earlier iron head diesels you can drive for decades wo ever touching them.

Not sure what you could diagnose with a diagram of the IP, and rectify, as this is a truly specialized work of mechanism. I understand that IP's are very sensitive and without professional knowledge the average Joe is out in the dark!

Obviously you are seeing a new situation not before seen since somebody rebuilt your Bosch ip. Was somebody truly capable of performing such, and if so, I would return to him with questions!

There are other possibilities for erratic idle, but happening right after installing a rebuild, yes, I would suspect the ip!

I can't think of, or know of, any blue prints, or diagrams, available for your Bosch IP, maybe look through Google for Bosch and application for Injector pumps?

My 603's IP has almost 260K and performs 100%, or at least close....never has been an issue!

Thanks

after searching for a long time and many calls to the shop that rebuilt the pump.(by the way thay still claim it was not their fault) we found a nut loose. with just a little play it was enough to make for a very poor idle. Thank you to my new friend in San Francisco. Who by the way will be the only one to rebuild my pumps from now on.
