No engine pics, the interior and car look decent.

Other then that the add really doesn't tell you anything.

Deep down I still pine away for an SDL.....

After riding in one at the Diesel meetup in Troy, MI in August, it solidified me wanting one. They feel so....big....and powerful!!!

Maybe someday....I grad college in less than 2.5 years or so(probably sooner)....maybe I will have a real job that will allow me to purchase many of these cars. *I can hope*

I have two 86 300SDLs and I can safely say that you will love the car. If there is not a rust problem and the ACC works as the ad indicated, there is one more thing to worry about, a cracked head.

A certain percentage of the 603 engines have the problem, I've heard 20%. The 87s were more prone because they came with a trap oxidizer, many of them failed and overheated the engine, causing heads to crack. The "14" head is the one you have to worry about. You may know all of this so I'll stop the rant.

With the price you paid you are in a win-win position. You could part it out and double your money, or give it the TLC and have one of the best cars ever made.

Good luck.

Six others from BMW, GM, and Ford.

Congrats

Welcome to the club!

If the shocks aren't too big an expense,
that seems like a great price for the condition of the car.

I love mine and one word comes to mind to describe it...
sumptuous

I am thrilled with the power and the economy.
Luxury and power don't often result in economy!

Enjoy!
