There's no reason for that now that Viagra is readily available.

But, people do it every day.

Provided that it does not affect you in a negative way............there's no need to get excited about it.

Either help the folks who are clueless.........or watch from the sidelines.
I did spend over an hour on the phone with her walking her thru the WVO path. She had gotten this idea from another who did not put "your mind in action". You do have a better way of uttering "clueless" than Delano, and I support that. I do also think that people ought to get a bit of light ribbing for not thinking in advance- it keeps everyone more on ther toes.

6 months ago i poured a gallon of wesson oil in my car to see what it'd do.

it didn't do anything but clatter around like normal.

so to you gloomy gusses. no, really. i thought long and hard about fighting my gag reflexes and squeamish tendencies to fuel for free.

the oil companies will win anyway, be they dino or otherwise.

Its Runnin

woooooooooooo! .. so i didnt really go by johno's steps. because when the car had first died and was still warm and was unsuccessful at starting i mity vacced out the aux tank fuel that was in there. and i knew i had fuel flow to the IP (injection pump) because i could hear the hissing squirting and whatever.

when i got to my car tonight, i immediately started to charge my battery,by use of jumper cables because i was charging it with my 4cyl Nissan Frontier. a much smaller less amp drawing automobile. I hooked up a block heater to my car to warm the engine some. replaced the spin on filter with a new one filled with ATF (automatic trans. fluid) re primed the fuel line. And pumped it about 30 times after being able to hear it squirt into the IP. Then i went to crank it over, held it for about 30 seconds to one minute, and started to feel it kick every now and then. I had a sigh of relief, thinking im on my way. i stopped and pushed the priming pump another 30-40 times, let the battery charge up some more and rev'ed up my truck to be able to send some more current. i repeated this probably about 2 more times, making sure to give the battery a really good charge, and just held the key in place where it starts until the kicks of where it recieved fuel increased and started, and then pushed the pedal to the floor to make sure i clean out all the junk that was in there.

its up and running now, took it to my parents house, gave the battery a full charge, refilled my coolant, somehow one of my hoses spewed a bunch of it, and sent my temp way up while getting to my parents. I will have to check on my veggie side of things on another day.

i guess its from working with regular gas cars, its wierd to crank/start a car thats having trouble starting like these diesels. it just seems crazy as to how long you have to "hold the position"

much thanks to MattSD
