comprehensive

is cheap compared to collision. i always keep it with $100 deductable for the odd chance of a fire, or a tree falling on the car.

I doubt it. I'm pretty sure that vehicle is front wheel drive.

That is - quite possibly - the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

Talk about an exciting 'buy it on Ebay and drive it home' trip

Mapquest directions for you to pick it up are quite simple. South on I-25 and drive for six weeks.

1962 and front-wheel drive - what makes you thnk that? And has MB ever built a front wheel drive production chassis vehicle? Transverse front leaf suspsension instead of coil springs is my guess.

And unfortunately the owner of this camper provides very little info on the mechanicals and specs. Heck, he caint even post decent pics either, making this camper/van the ultimate pig'n a poke for whoever buys it.

Probably the most appealing feature according to what little info the seller provides is the aluminum body, i wonder what it weighs. Yet interestingly aluminum Airstreams of that era were criticized as fire prone on account of poor electrical insulation with insufficient grounding. My guess is it might need a complete refurb of the electrical system wiring harness if it haint been done already.

Was looking for an MB camper van myself awhile back and with this one I'd have millions of questions because the seller says as little as possible using as many words and as few pics as he can. A victorian fireplace for cryin out loud! Yeah sure thats really cute, but does it have a high amperage voltage inverter for 110 volt appliances?

no that

van is definately rear wheel drive. they had duals in the back i am pretty sure. parallel leafs in front with a solid axle, rear too, i would bet. nice simple truck to operate i would think. i saw quite a few of them in europe when i was there in 70 and 73. almost certainly manny steering and tranny. possibly power brakes, my 61 220b had them.

diesledog, i would assume the inverter thing is ixnay! the seller did make it sound interesting in a non technical way. perhaps they didnt know much about the mechanicals.

not a purchase for the faint of heart! but cool still.
