I used to maintain one of these bloated diesel powered campmobile's in the UK. Always took a flask and samwiches on a test drive !  .

i always liked the looks of them though. i think some may have had six cyl diesels in them too. that would be better.

is cheap compared to collision. i always keep it with $100 deductable for the odd chance of a fire, or a tree falling on the car.

van is definately rear wheel drive. they had duals in the back i am pretty sure. parallel leafs in front with a solid axle, rear too, i would bet. nice simple truck to operate i would think. i saw quite a few of them in europe when i was there in 70 and 73. almost certainly manny steering and tranny. possibly power brakes, my 61 220b had them.
diesledog, i would assume the inverter thing is ixnay! the seller did make it sound interesting in a non technical way. perhaps they didnt know much about the mechanicals. not a purchase for the faint of heart! but cool still. tom w
