acc fan switch
is this thing vacuum controlled?
i took the unit out according to the diy pages(thank you) and had the engine running. when i jiggled the fan pin plug the heater went faster and all the buttons worked. i noticed that the pins were hollow hence my question at the top. obtw this was in brownie and it is the older acc with the controls in a horizontal line. man is the car hot now

If that's the automatic climate control then hell yes its all hooked up through crazy electrics, electronic relay guided, vacuum system operated solenoid valves, flap closures and temp sensitive plumbing valves, electronic air temp sensors too.
Genuine engineering marvel there - Germany never launched an outer space program so they developed the Mercedes Benz ACC system instead...... better be sayin a prayer whenever you touch it, never question how it works and just be happy you've got heat and/or air conditioning at all. |
