how to get temp up fast
i've got a two tank wvo system with an automatic temp switch. when the coolant hits 180, the computer kicks the veggie on. how can i get to 180 the fastest? i realize a block heater would help, but i'm wondering about methods of driving/idling. does idling help, or does it just waste fuel? does getting on the highway help, or is it better to keep high rpms on back roads? any thoughts?

howdy,
don't use the heater/defroster. you could expirament with blocking off airflow to a portion of the radiator. Insulate any lines that contain coolant that you can. Is your spot repair holding up?

spot repair is good, but it bubbled. maybe we didn't dry it off well enough? it's nice to know it's more protected now...
as far as coolant temp goes, keeping the heater off would help, but suck. any other thoughts out there? david
