Euro headlights and bumpers for W123s?

How hard is this stuff to change over on a W123? If I decide to pick one up, that's something I'd want to do... Why? I like the way they look.

Maybe stick some 20"s on it, a shopping cart spoiler, and... OK, we'll just stay with the Euro stuff. I'm assuming it should be a easy swap, maybe some minor wiring differences for the head and foglights?

If you put 20"s on it we will have to ban you from the board...

You don't want Euro bumpers in the U.S., too many bad drivers here, a rear ender in a W123 with US spec bumpers may equal new bumper, while the same rear ender in a W123 with Euro bumpers can equal (new trunk lid, new trim pieces, new tail lights, maybe totaled etc...) you see where I'm going with this?

Euro bumpers...

are the shizzle! If you get hit, buy another car and put the Euro bumper that didn't get damaged on IT! Cars are made to be driven, see where I'm going with THIS?

That's what insurance is for. Seriously, even my Mavericks (post 72) I swap out the 5mph bumpers for the pre 73 style that don't stick out a foot.

Other drivers ain't a massive concern around here, deer are. I hit one last winter going somewhere between 80-85mph in my Free Wheelin' 79 Ford F100 shortbed stepside and bent the corner of my factory non-chrome black painted bumper in about 3 inches. No other body damage, other then I knocked a foglight that was on my brushguard off (possible stuffed inside of the deer?). My old Hooker brushguard that weighs 50 pounds and is tied into the frame saved the day, otherwise I think I'd need a new radiator, core support, AC condensor, ect... I did blow a front shock out though, but they were cool enough to replace it (that don't happen everyday). Tough deer.

WIth that being said, I'm sure even with the Euro bumpers, it would still require some work on a W123.

Hmmm... your post does not make sense. If cars are made to be driven, why replace the US spec bumpers with ones you KNOW may get the car totaled in a rear ender? If cars are mean't to be driven, shouldn't you be trying to keep it from being totaled and never driven again?
