tach sensor
Does anyone have any tips on how to install a tach sensor in an '85 300D? My tach nor my AC are working? I have replaced the instrument cluster and checked the overload relay. No Luck. Any insight to my problem would be a great help. Thanks

The tach sensor is located by the bellhousing. There are two bolts holding it in. The cable runs up to the firewall and plugs into another cable in the middle of your firewall. I just replaced my cable and overload protection relay. If you peer down by your oil filter housing you should be able to see where the tach sensor is mounted. It's accesible from underneath the car though.
