Need a front fender e300d

I have a rust spot on the left front fender of my 95 e300d. It does not look pretty.

I see three options:
1. Take to body shop and have them fix it...perhaps with "body filler" and then have it painted

2. Buy used fender (same color) and bolt it on. I have found a used fender at a "recycler" in NH but this guy is reluctant to ship body parts. (If you don't want to do business nationwide, why have a website with your inventory online?). A local recycler has a fender but it is from a 93 300E and it's the wrong color...

3. Buy a new fender, have it painted and then bolt it on.
This company sells the primed fenders for $47 but then there's a $135 shipping charge (!)

Any thoughts on this?

Is it the passengers on drivers side? The passenger side has that turbo vent grille cut into it next to the front turn signal lense. Makes finding a used one rare. Let me know if you find one, I need one also in Black!

Driver's side. Try a search on car-part.com. I saw a couple black right fenders. You'll have to call the recycler. I've found these folks don't reply to emails quickly AND they are hesitant to ship fenders because they could get damaged during shipping.

Thanks, they have a repro primed fender that will work. I'm going to look a little harder for a used fender which is already painted. I definetly don't want to go the bondo route.

I can recommend Adsit. When I bought my '95 E300D a couple years ago, I got a great price on the car because the PO had hit a deer. Needed a new LF fender, headlight, mirror. Bought it all from Adsit. The fender was a repro in primer and it fit fine and looks good. Had it painted and undercoated by a local shop before I put it on the car. IIRC it was about $90 for the fender - they have periodic clear out sales so maybe it's cheaper now.

Shipping was not unreasonable.

I called them yesterday, price was around $90 for the fender, shipping is done "freight collect" and would be around $80 which I guess isn't too bad.

Chris, was installing the fender fairly straightforward? Aside from the trim, do you know if there is a difference between the early (86-93) and late (94-95) fenders? Also, when you have the fender installed how did the color match up with the door and hood?
