The ten degree twitch

Winter is now coldly and unmistakenly here. It is getting cold and fun little problems arise. I have completed my winter check list, cooling, brakes, oil, etc... I am still having a rough idle untill about 70c. I have replaced one injector, a few injector lines #4#5, and lastly had the ALDA and injection pump adjusted to this altitude (7200ft, did not trust my abilities yet). I am wondering if the shop that adjusted said injector pump and ALDA did an effective job. Before adjustment it would not smoke after warmed up and acceleration (low end) is worse, however starting easier.

Thanks
Owen

Well, the black is unburned fuel and I imagine the blue tint is oil. Sound's like it's running a little rich as far as the unburned fuel (or the timing is off). If it is running rich and the timing is okay, then, in my opinion, the mechanic needs to set the fuel feed back a notch. I am not experienced with your motor, so perhaps someone more knowledgeable can get a better handle on your question, though I do believe the black is unburned fuel and both a too rich mixture and retarded timing would contribute to that particular problem.

It seems to me the timing is still off. I am not too fimiliar with the 603 but I have owned many straight six engines. In my experience this seems to run like the timing is off(it doesn't purr untill its been run to 4000 rpm) The irritating part is having the timing set and to not have it done right. I live an hour and fifteen minutes from the shop and it takes an entire day off to get it fixed.

Question I'm colorblind

So I can't tell colors. One of my friends verified the smoke is black (no blue tint.)
