What are some GOOD seats for a 123, BMW maybe?

Looks like I'll be getting a 300D soon, but the seats SUCK in them. They ain't bad, but just typical old Mercedes seats that remind me of the ones they use in my Mack work truck.

My 190E has SUPERIOR manual seats, but if I'm gonna swap I want power/heated seats. I'm not sure what Mercedes has that will work in my ride, most of the power seats they have have the controls in the doors.

Most BMWs I've seen have ALL the controls built into the seat. The 8 or 10 way switch, seat heater, ect... which looks like it would be WAY easier to install. I like the armrests they used as well, like on the 7 series.

Being I spend 1000-1200 miles a week commuting, I like my comfort.

Seat quality may vary, but.....
A friend of mine just got rid of his BMW 5 series, from around 1998 or so. He had the driver's seat replaced when he bought it with under 50,000 miles, and it was worn out long before he traded it. The leather just did not hold up; rest of the seats looked fine, but your spending that much seat time, I don't believe the BMW is better than you original seat. But, " You seat mileage may vary..."

I know the seats in my old (1988) 735iL look new, ain't broke down yet, leather is still in excellent shape, and everything works on them. They also offer surpreme comfort and even have powered lumbar, along with heating and 10 way power.

I'm kind of a idiot, I love the old W123s for a variety of reasons, but the 735iL is fast, comfy, will cruise all day over twice the legal limit, ect... what it don't have is soul. One of my favourite things about it though, is the seats.

I'd prefer to use newer Mercedes seats, but again, I want one self contained, much easier then trying to wire them to my centerconsole, door panel, ect...
