They can get a bit unstable at highway speeds. One of my buddys is trying to import a select number of them and has a couple around here undergoing testing.

I saw a smart here in Marina Del Rey, they are for sale somewhere in Orange County, CA. The small Smart roudster looks like a nice city car, but a Lotus Elise would be more fun!

i have heard that it is impossible to purchase a smart in canada and then import it. that is the biggest sin under the sun.

Just buy one, go pick it up with a golf cart trailer, strap your clubs onto the back of and drive home to the CONUS with it on the trailer. Make sure to wear plus-fours, a plaid sweater and your Footjoys. But, be careful that you don't accidently grab the Smart's antenna and swing that thinking you're ripping one with your "Big Bertha."

Interesting, there's one on ebay right now in Texas and yes it's a diesel. I wonder if this is legit and if it can be registered, or is it a black market car?
