300d turbo conversion
I've a euro 1984 300D non-turbo. can the motor i have accept a turbo from a 300DT? Do the 2 models share the same motor? If so.. would this opperation require more than bolt-ons. I would think the case would have to be tapped for an oil line? Any help would be appreciated and would also get me from point A to point B much quicker.

ITs recomended to swap with a Turbo OM617...it will last longer. Put a turbo on a non-turbo engine and you will dramaticly reduce its lifespan.

The engines are too different. You need to swap the entire engine.

Its definitly better to swap the entire engine now. You'll end up replacing it anyways if you try to just bolt the turbo on the NA engine when it blows up.
