window prob

The electric window (driver side) on my 84 300 tdt stopped working yesterday. I think the raise/lower mechanism is working because of the normal noise when I push the switch. I can slide the window up and down freely by hand, but not with the electric switch. Advice?

Thanks

Sounds like you need to take the door panel off and take a look. Either the regulator is no longer connected to the window, or the gear is stripped, or something else. It should be obvious once you get inside.

Thank you

all. It sure is more comfortable going into a repair with this kind of help rather than going in cold.
