Are they supposed to light up?
 

Is my 81 300SD gear selector supposed to be illuminated? If so, how do I get to the bulbs to change them? Also, between the driver window switch and the switch directly behind it there is a small square push button.What the heck does this do?

The gear selector is lit up with a fiber optic cable that comes from the radio area. Therein lies bulb that needs to be changed. The small pushbutton is a window lock for the other (rear) window controls.
