Cooling system decal part number needed

Tried the forum search to no avail. I am in need of the part number for a decal on the cooling system, a white label with red lettering. It is a Caution decal, and states something to the effect that the proper coolant must be used to avoid damage to aluminum parts in the cooling system. It is approximately 1" x 3" and is attached to the top of the radiator support. I have seen the same sticker on different model 1980's cars, so assume it is a generic decal, but cannot find a part number on the decal. Anybody out there have a dealer part number? Thanks in advance.:)

Thanks for the info. I'll check into it.

Me again!:)

Checked on the part number previously mentioned (124 584 56 26) and this is not the one I'm looking for. That label states, "Attention! High Pressure Cooling System. Open Only Below 194 F (90 C). Leave Off High Pressure At Notch No. 1. To Close Turn to Stop (Notch No. 2). Use Cover With No "120" only."

The one I am looking for is 1" x 3", with red lettering and reads, "Caution! Use Only Antifreeze/Coolant Designed to Protect Aluminum Parts (See Owner's Manual)", with the numbers 2155 in the bottom left corner, and the date 10/79 next to it. This label is on a 1989 560SL (radiator support) and a 1981 240D (fan shroud). Both labels are worn or torn, and hard to read, and between the two I got the above information. If there was a part number, it was either on the torn-off part or the worn-off part.

Anybody out there have any idea what the Mercedes part number would be?

BUMP.

Anybody have one of these on their car that they could check to see if there is a part number on the label?

Craig,

Thanks for the response and confirmation on the label. I've seen several Mercedes, different years, and only one has had this label.

Is it your car? Just go to the dealer they should be able to look it up.
