Smile Scale model cars?

Just for fun, does anyone know if scale models where ever made of these cars and if so where you can buy them? I have looked on the internet and have not been able to find any.

MB sells them. They have a book full of MB stuff laying around at the dealers.

When I got my mileage badges, they sent me a large catalog with pretty much every model. Not cheap, but probably well made.

If you want, I can see if there is a website on the catalog.

That would be great. I just think it would be fun to have a model of my car.

The MB Classic catalog offers a couple 126 models, all 1:43 I think. They look very nice. They aren't SDs, explicitly, but at 1:43, doesn't make much of a difference (you can always add a teeny-tiny trunk badge). I was going to tell you to go to mbusa.com and browse the online catalogue, but they appear to have replaced it with some sort of "lifestyles collection" PDF download option ... you might try that ... I don't have the connection speed here. I'll see if there's an online option in the Classic Collection cat, which is like a BOOK!

You might want to check european model car sites as it is more likely our models are available there than in north america in my opinion. The beauty is nothing needs repaired on models in general. Great ideal by the way, think I will look around as well.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, finds a source let me know and I will do the same.
Thanks

I've purchased mine off of fleaBay.

One, a W123 wagon in approximately 1:43 scale was made in Estonia and is injection molded poly. It's pretty accurate overall but has minimal detail (no roof rack or hood star). It was obviously intended to be a toy (packaged in plastic bag w/ cardboard tag/hanger).

The other two are really nice examples of a Sprinter and a modern Unimog which came from a neat guy in the GB that goes by charlieccu on eBay. The models are both in 1:32 scale and sport opening doors and hoods and nice rubber tires. The 'mog has a power company service bed with a fully operational manlift/cherrypicker and outriggers. These are über cool models! While the models were relatively inexpensive, the international shipping probably cost me 2X what the product did.

I'll post some pics of them tonight.
