Straight-forward swap? '80 300d engine into euro '80 300d

Would there be any complications involved in swapping the engine from a USA version 1980 300d nonturbo into a euro 1980 300d nonturbo?

I realize the euro version doesn't have all the smog equipment that the USA version does, but I don't think I have to swap all that over do I?

Would this be a direct bolt in swap, no modification required? or is there some big difference between the USA and euro version?

Any input would be appreciated
thanks!

thats on the 240d right? in that case, I dont see why I should have any trouble at all swapping what's basically the same engine between the same car.

thanks

it should fit like a

penny in a gum machine. dont be surprised if the cruise wont hook up though. if that is important to you you can change over the ip and pipes.
