Straight-forward swap? '80 300d engine into euro '80 300d
Would there be any complications involved in swapping the engine from a USA version 1980 300d nonturbo into a euro 1980 300d nonturbo?
I realize the euro version doesn't have all the smog equipment that the USA version does, but I don't think I have to swap all that over do I? Would this be a direct bolt in swap, no modification required? or is there some big difference between the USA and euro version? Any input would be appreciated thanks! |

thats on the 240d right? in that case, I dont see why I should have any trouble at all swapping what's basically the same engine between the same car.
thanks |

it should fit like a
penny in a gum machine. dont be surprised if the cruise wont hook up though. if that is important to you you can change over the ip and pipes.
