Thumbs up Algae Clogged Filter Pic StarTron WORKS !

O.K. , the head machinist turned up with a camera so let's see if i can attach the two pix , this is after only two days with 4 Oz. of StarBrite StarTron Algae Enzyme in the tank....

Oh crap ~ it's too big , I'll have to reduce it and try again later as I'll be in the field for the next few days , rats ~ they're nice & clear pix too .

Fungus, fungus. Not algae. I know too little about my MB, but I know that a fungus is not an algae.

You can't post a link to your email account! It'll work only for you. You need to either upload the picture onto a picture-hosting website, or reduce your picture sufficiently to attach it to your post.

Red face Damned 'Puters

Oh . _DUH_ ! I told you I'm a computer dummy I tested it before I posted it and you're right , it worked just fine for me so I thought it was all good .

Sorry

I talked to the guy with the camera and he said he can reduce the size of the pictures for me , anyone know what the maximum size is ? .

TIA ,

You should be able to reduce it yourself. Bring it down to 800X600 pixels or less (I can't remember which one is height and which one is width) in your photo editing software (photoshop, ulead, corel, etc.)

I'm actually using this additive right now too, and so far I have no evidence of clogging. I suppose my fuel tanks were pretty clean to begin with. I only used the recommended dosage, i.e. 1 oz/16 gallons of fuel.

I think the limit on the pictures is what 300DPETE is saying, plus there's a memory limit of 65 KB per picture if I remember correctly. If you don't have any of the photo editing programs mentioned above, you most likely have Paint. Just open the picture in Paint, go to the Image menu and select Stretch/Skew and type in a smaller percentage. You may have to do some trial and error to bring it under 65 KB.

Angry TRYING To Send Pix

Brandon ;

I'm _trying_ but yahoo keeps giving me a B.S. error message ;
' there was a problem acessing your account ' ~ this happens 1/2 the time I try to do anything in yahoo e-mail , since I'm on a 50.6 Kbs dialup here it takes me a while to learn they're screwing me again , I'll try to send you the pix later as I have NO IDEA what button to click to reduce the size....

Thanx ! .

Nate
If you can't send someone your pics, try going to the post office and sending them the old primary filter so they can post a pic of it.

I feel like I'm waiting for Star Wars IV to come out!!!!!

Exclamation Picture Is On It's Way !

Wow ~ I didn't realize this would be a popular thing .

I just tried it again and Brendan should be getting it soon , I hope it goes through O.K. as it's a clear and dramatic picture of how clogged it'll get . I only wish I'da had a new filter to pose next to the dirty one...
