Cut that straight line and put a generic inline filter in there to be OEM like. Or, better yet... find an easier place to get too for changing future filters. Not sure where that is though!

Ok i went out and bought the bosch filter at autozone so im just going to install that and when my dad brings by the charger to get the car started i will see how better it performs with new filters. and just waste all the fuel left in the tank and start running some b20 in it. for the rest of the winter season.

i bought some diesel fuel system cleaner so maybe it will clean out watever crap is in the fuel system. it says to use it when the tank is nearly empty and pour it in at fill up so i will see if that helps anything.

keep at least two extra prefilters and one canister filter in your glovebox....and tools to replace them.

too many accessories on ford

It's possible that while you were jump starting with the Ford that the heater/fan and other accessories were running and draining the battery faster than the 80 amp alternator could charge - I had it happen once on a Mercury in the winter where the heater/ defroster/fan and lights discharged the battery dead while it was idling for an hour. Had to get a tow truck to jump it.
