Fixed!

I took it to a local place that repairs alternators and starters and such. The guy put a new voltage reg on it and tested it. Fixed it. Put the alt back on with new belts, works like a champ again!

The guy checked the bearings and stuff while he had it, said that other than the voltage reg, it is in superb condition.

Cost? $15.90 (total) plus a 25 mile trip.
