Strange, both my 616 and 617 are on the pass. side, which I believe is the "standard" location.

Brian nailed it. I just did this job yesterday because the old cord was shorted out. Luckly I had a Worldpac cord that I didn't use on my SDL, so I stuck it on the SD.

Whoever put the starter on that side should be shot!

Come to think of it, the original ad did mention a block heater.

Even more of a problem back in the UK where starter was very close to the steering box, that made changing the starter motor a royal pain in the rear.

They drive on the other side of the road but sit on the other side of the car to compensate

This guy nailed it. Part ordered. Thanks for the help.
Just an aside-that 'Fastlane Search Feature' is pretty clunky, imo.
