Death of a 300D
I bought it to drive, found far too many problems to make it worth fixing (including rust) so I parted it out. I've at least gotten some of the initial purchase back that way, and I've used a few parts for my 84 300TD.
It is still sad though... http://tad2.grosvenor.org/albums/MiscWinter2005/CIMG3096.avi Then I saw that the winch cable on the trailer was caught on the car. I untangled it and away it went: http://tad2.grosvenor.org/albums/MiscWinter2005/CIMG3097.avi -Tad |

Didn't happen to have a working cruise amp did it?

That's the reason I paid $200 to keep my car after the insurance co. totaled it. I shudder to think of that happening to mine, even though it'll never be drivable again. I'd prefer to let it live in my yard/woods with a tarp over it. Maybe in ten years when I'm a doctor and have the money I can get it the body work it needs.

alternator and front brake caliper bolt
I am looking for an alternator and front brake caliper bolt. Did you grab those before parting with it?
Thanks, Glenn |

That was a SICK video clip! Another one lost to the crusher for ever.:(

That was sweet! I love how the operator pulls your entire rig backwards!
Its happened to me a few times.. somthing either gets caught on the trailer or I forget to unhook a chain. Nothing beats watching something fall from the scrapyards grapple and smash somebodys pickup truck bed.. It seems to happen much more when they are unloading you with an electromagnet. I always unload stuff by hand or toss it onto the trailer before they try to pick it up from the truck. |
dibbs on the clip
can i have dibbs on the euro warning triangle clip, if you saved it?
