Looking for the bushing part number
I have just bought on Ebay a new right and left side upper control arms. I know my little W123 needs them by just the look of the wheels while it sits in the garage. Lots of snow and ice around so that is a good place for it. Also, when driving on fresh fallen snow the other day, that little car just misbehaved badly. No way was it going to go straight, also I have excessive wear on the far inside tread on the drivers side front tire.
In reading up on this job in the DIY section, it looks like another job an old man in good health could do. But I would like to replace the bushings on that [B]upper sway bar and I am having difficulty in locating the corect part number. Would you be able to tell me if those bushings are P/N 116 333 40 14. Fastway lists them to be used with the Upper control arms, but does not list them seperately the way I see it. I Think the article in the DIY section is wonderful. Thanks

Thankyou BHD!
Thank you for the information. I just couldn't come up with it. I will get them ordered and will have a nice little job to do over Christmas.

I had the upper control arm replaced by a local mechanic. He started with the car on the lift without supporting the lower portion. When he disassembled the UCA, the shock sheared off its bolts and the spring shot out.
Just a word of caution. |
