My old '78 air filter was just wet with oil , so much so I had to remove the entire housing and de-grease it . after a few oil changes and etc. it no longer pukes oil out the breather...

Anyway , maybe you're running the engine a little bit faster by holding the throttle down & delaying upshifts ? . (grasping @ straws here)

I find that when I delay my upshifts by heavy throttle , more oil mist comes out the breather tube....

This is normal if a bit of a PIA in older cars where the oil mist is greater anyway .

Thumbs up Upgraded Breather Tube

Oh yeah ~ that'd help but I'd also do the cleanout thing suggested by...
?Brandon? as oil seperation is important , any rubber elbows or grommets must also be gummy and soft , I just changed the two on my non turbo breather tube and _WOW_ what an improvement ~ Performance Parts lists the rubber elbows as ' tube , early ' but the illustration clearly shows the elbow so I bought a pair , $6.00 each and they come in original M-B packages , pretty cool .
