It Runs!!!!

the wiring was correct... it was connected just fine... but the origional metal wire connector was still there, and because we didnt have a tester, we tried to change the wire. we did, and it is running and glowing like it used to, so all is good. thanks for all your help!!!

Are you talking about the old grounding strap?

it was the real thick wire (doesnt really bend) that we left attached... not the grounding strap. we had origionally grounded it, but then we realized we werent suppose to, so we 'ungrounded' it right away. the original resister wires for the loop style plugs, thats what i think they were called previously in the thread.
