Beautiful standard shift euro W123 coupe for sale!

http://www.buggybank.com/index.html
1984 280CE

just caught this ad while killing time... you all know how it goes. Its not a diesel, buts its a w123, and a rare bird at that. Euro-spec, including headlamp wipers!

Price seems steep, but could be worth it depending on the details of the car.

Have fun!

That is a beautiful looking vehicle. It must perform very well with the five speed. Wonder what you could buy it for?

The '78 300CD seems like it could be had rather reasonably. Wonder what kind of shape it is in.
OK, this is controversial, and might verge on blasphemy, but as much as I try, I just can't make myself like the CD. It looks like one of those early Cadillac Sevilles where the back doors were cut off and it was made into a coupe. They look great as a sedan, but as a coupe it just doesn't work for me.
But what the heck do I know. I'm a wagon guy....

Apologies to you CD owners. And take my opinion with a grain of salt. If I ran across one reasonbly priced I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

i like

the wagons too. and as a design i think that the wagon may be a better design. but the coupe is pretty cool too. have you driven one? they feel noticably nimbler than the longer wheelbase cars, and they are lighter. the 300cd you sit lower and the windshield is lower and the roofline. it is definately an aquired taste.

Awesome car. It's the brown one, right? Brown isn't my favorite color, but it's a cool car.

i used to really like that dark brown but any more it doesn't appeal to me much. i had a brown 300dt 83 back in the early ninties. nice car.
