Brake caliper replacement

I replaced my passenger side front caliper, turned rotors and new pads and on the drivers side turned rotors and new pads and bled brake lines on both sides, now the car wants to pull to the right when I stop. Should I have replaced calipers in pairs?

yep

If you want it done right you should replace them in pairs. If it pulls to the side of the new caliper then not replacing both is probably your problem. Why did you only replace one? What was the condition of the pads on both wheels?

Yes you should only replace calipers in pairs. Also you shouldn't turn MB brake rotors.

Thanks for the info I thought that might be the problem, These rotors are pretty new never been turned I have always turned rotors on my car one time and have not had any problems, replaced caliper because piston was leaking.

In 23 years of driving a Mercedes, I have never turned a rotor - never had to.

I wouldn't say you CAN'T turn MB rotors...after all there is specifications of minium allowable thickness pre and post turning the rotors.

I would, if you have the means, probably replace them however even I myself have rotated BMW and MB rotors with no problems. Just keep an eye on your thickness....I would say you could probably only get one grind off them before they dropped below spec.

Calipers are best replaced in pairs as well (if you can afford to do so). Its all a trade off...

Because, time, labor, durability and cost = higher than new rotors in almost all cases.

Many shops here will NOT cut rotors, because it is not cost efficient with todays labor rates.

Labor $85.00 - $150.00 per hour
Minimum one hour to cut four rotors, if there is no special setup needed.

If you can turn them yourself, have the machine to do it, and have the time...its cheap

That was my case. Next time around they are getting replaced (were pretty close to min spec. and VERY warped)

Well because MB says right in the manuals not to turn them. However MB rotors do not have a lot of wear materal on them and once they are turned they are often at or near the min thickness.

Usually 2-3 sets of pads and the rotors are shot.
