Funny, I've read some derogatory posts about w124 interiors -- all bunk. My interior's cherry at nearly 265K. No dash cracks. No seat rips. No door panel wrinkles. No headliner sag. Even the original MB carpet mats are good.
Only flaws: a cracked wood panel around the shifter with a small chip. Mild flattening of driver's seat pleats. I also replaced a rear view mirror that exploded in my hand because of UV damage. Keep the Tex. No better vinyl upholstery was ever made. I -- and those who sit in it -- astonished at the condition of my cream-colored MB interior after many many miles.

It can be improved, but at a price

I do prefer the slightly stiffer ride of my slightly modified W124. It gives me a more confident feeling when I am navigating the many twisting country rounds in rural Pennsylvania. There is no question that the ride is more firm on the highway, but I have found that even this can become an acquired taste. I also prefer the slightly lower profile of my car, now that suspension is just slightly lowered. My car was really sky-high with the stock suspension. The fender gaps would have looked huge, with the larger wheels, if I hadn’t lowered the car. Even professional reviewers commented that the wheels were really too small for the W124s. I have to admit that there are also some issues with correcting for too much negative camber and getting the ride height just right, if you ever go down the road of modifying the suspension. There are solutions for the issues, but it can take time and money to get everything adjusted just the way you want it. The bottom line is that if you are happy now, it is probably best to just stay with what you have. The W124s really are great cars, just the way they come from the factory.

I'd guess $10k-$11k. Look for similer cars on ebay and autotrader and come to a price that way.
MB's take a little while to sell these are not Honda's the buyers pool isn't that large.
