Yeah, the gray part only. It makes the front end look fresher. This is the guide I'm using.

I also gave my 300D an engine bay cleaning for Christmas.

Well, the SD got an early Christmas present including a new head, water pump, oil cooler lines, starter, oil filter housing gasket, air filter, recalibrated injectors, and breather hose.

This weekend it's getting a CCU so that the blower will work once again and I can stop freezing my ass off. It might even get an auxiliary water pump because I'm concerned that the pump took out the CCU.

The SDL ('86) gets nothing but a space in the garage. But, it's lined up for a CD changer.

The SDL ('87) got a replacement turbo that cut it's oil consumption to zip. So, it's a happy camper. Has some issue with the power steering pump.......makes a whine.......but......will have to wait.

Mine got a new thermostat and new windshield. Later I'm going to try and fix the stuck trunk lock and do some rear brake work.

Recently, Margaret got a new cruise control switch. (this helps to prevent me from getting a ticket)

Yesterday, Emily had a recall for inspection of corrosion on the front doors...all is OK.

This next week I hope to put a nut engine block heater in Margaret along with the whole coolant change thing, change the transmission fluid in Emily (any tips?), and change the oil in both.

My father drives and Olds Ciera wagon with 190K miles. He has had a few of these and now it is harder for him to find a wagon. I an hinting for him to look at a 2002 C-class wagon with 4Matic.

I am starting to think this is a one way relationship

I give and give and yet my td (elainor is its new name, yep from the movie) only returns very little affection. I have as of this far given it 6-8 times as much attention and gifts as my girlfriend(who by the was is starting to get a little jealous) and elainor still wants more At any rate elainor recieved a matching spare and a $10 bath.

I had similar issues and used lucas product(lady at the factory promised me it would not screw up my auto-leveling system) and the wine went away instantly.

Two new seat covers for an SL from GAHH were installed professionally by a local furniture upholsterer. Took out all the nasty old horsehair. He built it up beautifully. Very puffy and firm but soft.

Comfortable seats will make a big difference.

I can't remember the exact name but it is a power steering pump conditioner and sealer. I found it at advance auto. It even quieted the power steering pump of the infamous ford truck.

That ought to do it. I'll see if I can find it at advance. Thanks.

Gave the little Italian stallion a set of yellow bulbs for the fog lights, GE Nighthawks for headlights (waste of $$$) and a set of OEM slush mat's.

Wife is treating it like a Jeep, one wash job and vacuuming in three months of ownership.

My 83 is getting new ball joints from Phil, a right rear quarter pannel, right rear floor pan, and both rocker pannels followed by a complete repaint in the original color. She better appreciate it because I'm getting tired of chopping out spot welds to get the old rocker pannels off.

Cool I think my 300D is Jewish...oy

same difference...She got the new diff fluid today and tomorrow if I can find a place open that will sell me some wiring she'll get a new 12V facet fuel pump.

I like the idea of taking the driver's seat to a furniture upholsterer...
That's like giving her a day at the Spa. ANy details on that?
