On our car the 250 badge is also on the other side. I don't know if the coupes had it on the other side or not.

A 250C is a carburated Coupe. The VIN sez it's a 250 6cyl gasser. It sounds like it has a 220D motor. Motor swap back in the day + whatever badge the guy had lying around, just for fun.
BTW, the badge is on the wrong side. Thus lending credence to the "badge swap" theory. I think I'll rebadge my 300SD as a 420SEL or maybe add 6.9 badging just to confuse everyone when I sell it someday... |

"All Diesels (4 and 5 cylinder) are W115 models" is not true. The 300SD with 5 cylinder is not a W115 and the 300D with the five cylinder is not a W115. Also 4 and 5 cylinder Diesels of other manufacturers like Volkswagen, Volvo etc. are not W115 models. Check your facts before you make a blank statement. P E H |
