Yet another MB for Me

Here we go again.. I keep seeing these things at auctions,, and can't help but to buy them. This time it's an 84 TD, Astral Silver and Blue. 280k miles, and some issues.
This is getting crazy around here, my wife is gonna throw me in a loony bin.

Ward mates?...

I just got back to the office from paying for my latest TWO acquisitions - a 450SEL 6.9 and a '79 300SD Turbo ($2200 for the pair from a diesel mechanic/MB nut whose wife made him do it). Both under 150k miles.

Issues obviously, but most of the parts to fix 'em up nice come with them (except a fuel pump for the 6.9) The 300SD starts right up - he recently rebuilt the engine (bottom end) and put a new head on it. He even has a replacement dashboard for it!

So - that's 7 (4x 116s, 2x 126s and a 107). Should I stop?

Kevin

NOOOOO DONT DO IT

Keep saving as many as you can, if a MB nut has them, theyre less likely to be abused&crushed

KEEP COLLECTING, I'll let you store them on our property if you want, FREE!!!

Never stop... I'm going to have to sell two of these off though. Hopefully the guy who wants the silver D will join here too, and become a new member. Here's a pic of the fleet. Not as many as halman2228, but getting there.
Moonblink, paid too much for it, $1200. But, never had a wagon before.

Depends on the issues, the wagons are coveted by the WVO people...I paid $4900 for mine, but she is in good shape without any rust really. Similar miles though...The PO of the 82 TD was insane about fixing every little detail about the car and kept all records, some weeks he was at the shop 4 times! Even paid $600 to have the clock repaired...HA! But he did not care and wanted the car like new all the time...I bet there is 12K in reciepts...Good score for you!
