Get in, drop the hammer, and get back to school.

That leak won't hurt ya other than leaking...I'd address it someday but for the time being it isn't going to be putting the kabash on any roadtrips....

Just tighten!

I think you just need to tighten the pre-chamber collar...it real easy if you have the special tool, otherwise use needle nose pliers (not great) or some other means to turn the collar. I thing you will find it is very loose.

pre chamber

Do not attempt to tighten the prechamber. I believe its 75 foot lbs. If you over tighten it you'll have more problems. If it bothers you that much. Buy the prechamber removal tool and then remove the prechambers. You'll have to order 5 crush washers for the prechambers and put them in then re tork the prechambers to spec's, and then no more leak. But believe everyone, what you have there is not problem. Your not loseing fuel or performance. No big deal. Good luck.

It really depends on how perfect he wants it. The drip lines are leaking those cost nothing and only take a few minutes to change, it would be silly not to replace them.

But the pre chamber leak could go on forever and not affect anything.

The pre chambers are probably worn, I bet the balls are moving around in them. And their is no such thing as a perfect set of 30 year old injectors.

So if he bought four new pre chambers plus seal rings and got the injectors checked and rebuilt that would certianly be the anal extreme.

However the car would probably run a bit better.

I doubt it's that loose! if it is then some really sloppy mechanic worked on the engine!
I've seen damaged slots in the keyways on the hold down rings from mechanics who tried tightening and slipped or used the wrong tool. A few tiny PC bubbles isn't going to hurt anything. I have a small stream of bubbles on one of mine and I don't worry at all.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will maybe try to change the heat shield and check the torque on the pre-chamber collar when I have a bit more time. First I should work on fixing the driver's side lock and making the sun roof close all the way. Thanks again. -Bryan
