this tool is used to set the injection pump timming, u remove the screw plug on the side of the ip, screw in the test end of the tool, tool has 2 lights, marked a and b, set the crank pully on 15 deg atdc and move the pump till both lights are on. tool had a positive lead that hooks to battery.

IIRC, Samstag sales can get it for you. I'm sure that Phil can also get it. It's a M/B tool and has an M/B p/n. Sometimes it's referred to as the RIV timing light.

There is one in the tool rental program.........if you only need it once.

I should have one when the shop reopens Teus. I need to check pump timing on my '87 300Dt, its not been set right since a rebuild.
