Thumbs up 603 injector removal?

I finally picked up my deep 27mm twelve point socket, but those injectors do not want to seem to come out. Do they have a standard right equals tight thread or do I simply need to put more load on them to remove?

Just use a longer breaker bar, they're not typically difficult to break loose. IIRC, the torque spec is something like 52 foot pounds--no biggie.

Thumbs up

I probably should have removed them before pulling the head.

They are in their tight! I needed to use a pretty big breaker bar on a 1/2 drive socket. Pull as hard as you can you won't strip them, they will move.

Liberal amounts of PB blaster help a lot!

Yikes! That does make a difference. I've encountered this situation with VW diesel heads. I just mounted the head to a 2" x 8" board, with a couple of holes drilled at either end for bolts to keep it in place while I torqued.
