Wink Almost a million miles, yet…

It's shear blasphemy – a NON-diesel upholding the “million mile car” honor of (older, i.e., well-built) Mercedes Benz’s…

That thought had crossed my mind, but to what avail? To create a certain aspect of novelty to help get rid of the beast? Interesting marketing tactic. Note that the license plate is definitely not of the original 1974 vintage, so it is not necessarily as though some eccentric has owned this since day one and pampered it through it’s entire life.

Of course, if the mileage is true, there is no telling how many major components have been replaced and/or rebuilt. Even if the bottom-end is original (which, believe it or not, is actually a possibility with a truly well maintained iron block M117 engine) the top end has likely been gone through at least a couple of times already.

That car look to be in pretty good shape for nearly a million miles too me. But if it was well taken care of I guess it might still look nice.
