U Pull It bargains.....
1st time went to U-pull-it (in Davie, Fl.) today. Where were you William?
Next time I bring a camera. What a place! I needed a few things and got a bit more. Here's my shopping list. for 85 300D sunroof motor or fiber gear; got both and 2 gears. antenna mast; got it fuel sender unit: check. also found a couple of extras, a nice breather hose and a few vacuum check valves. Total bill $17.00 + $2.50 in tolls and $1. admission. I still need to check out the electricals but the antennamast looked good and that was worth the $$. The car I was pulling from had my red interior and I wish I could swap a front passenger seat with a drivers seat. Does anyone know if there's a way to swap the seat cushion from passenger to drivers side??? A fella I met there had gotten 2 nice seats for his 300 for $60. for 2. I will probably go back next weekend to browse other cars... |
dude any med kit covers?
|
I'm planning an outing tomorrow here, should be interesting to see what's popped up since early December. :D

You could swap the bottom rest of the seat but you cant swap the back rest due to the reclining mechanism. You will have to use your old seat adjustment handle(one thats under the seat) and switch it to the new one.

Funny though....I had a cut thumb from yesterday on cheap fuel hose clamp, and it reopened while I was working on getting the Sunroof motor out so, I went in the back seat and found the Ol trusty M-B 1st Aid kit laying there, opened but unused and tore off some adhesive tape to cover my cut thumb..... Only car in the lot where you could do that! |

I went yesterday, and to one in Palm Beach today. Found a euro wagon four speed with no rust today- headlights already gone. Oh- it was a 230 TE so dont get all excited. Got the yellow cased safety triangle, one SLS accumulator- the other was bad, two tires- nearly brand new bridgestone potenza 205/65/15H re009's $50, a flat faced rim 7X15 ET25 (that makes four!), a blackstone intercooler like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Saab-Blackstone-Intercooler-FMIC-VW-Honda-Custom-NR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQitemZ8028447609QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW, a nearly perfect w115 pass. mirror for my indie, a throttle linkage part for my departed 300TD's new owner, and other things. I'll return for the AL129X if some one wants it- (PM me) and the 240D oil vapor seperator.

Jimmy
Isn't the dash Black in your 123. My interior is red but the dash is black. SO are all others I've seen. This 123 was pretty stripped, but had a very nice black dash, with only 1 minor crack. I wouldn't know how to send a drivers door from FL to TX. Probably better off waiting or getting any color door and stripping and repainting before you install.... |
U-PUll its around here screw you so hard its not even funny...
What used to be a 20 spot day turned into a 100... I kid you not... Its my firm belief that if you can't IDENTIFY a part by looking at it or can't speak decent english (around here english is pretty standard) then you really need to not be nikel and diming me to death... |
Hit man and Jimmy are in Texas...
|
William, any luck on the convex lens?

Correct-o-mundo.... I was aiming that at the Hitman. I have a decent black dash in my '77 parts car, actually along with a pretty nice black interior. I've thought about swapping it, but I really prefer to stay with a blue one. |

Two I can think of now have black dashes, maybe something new has come out there. There is a white 230E there, paint is pretty lame though. Not missing but looked poor. I spaced out on the Euro cars having those Warning Triangles. :D |
You should probably always pull the ACC control units whenever you see one. Good for personal use or resale on EBay. Not sure what they would charge you, but they can be valuable.
Easy to remove and carry out for their value. Ken300D |
Got a cruise amp today,, I think they charged me $10. Rip off artists. :P
