85 300D Climate Control Vacuum Leak Question
The major Vacuum supply feed line from the vacuum pump feeds three vacuum lines through the firewall. Green Yellow;Yellow Red and Yellow Black.
Please correct me if I am wrong but my belief is that the Green Yellow line feeds the climate control dampers; the Yellow Red line feeds the door actuators and the Yellow Black line feeds the trunk vacuum tank. My Question is if you apply a Mighty Vac ,hand held vacuum pump or other Vacuum source on the Green Yellow Line, should you be able to pull and hold a vacuum? Presently I cannot, which leads me to believe I have a leak in my Climate Control Vacuum Diaphragms. On the other hand, all my dampers seem to function OK when I push the various ACC buttons. |

Yes, you should be able to hold a vacuum.

Have you tried pulling a vacuum with the climate control buttons in different configurations?
I would think it should hold a vacuum, otherwise, you'll be leaking vacuum constantly.

Try shutting it off with different climate control buttons pressed.
