Well, that certainly sounds different than my MY99E300. Similar, but different.

I don't really have a good way of making a recording, other than perhaps using my digital camera on low res.

I have a friend with a E300 the same year as mine. Their car sounds much softer and muted than mine. Mine has much more of a metalic sounding edge to it. They have 120K miles, I have 70.

Lately, I've had some glow plug problems (fixed), and now I dont' think the engine sounds as 'happy' as it has.

Debating if I should have the injectors looked at, or if another choice is to try to run more cleaner thru.

I have a nice recording rig that dumps the deep bases that causes problems with recordings. I will dig it out and make some HQ recordings.

I have no idea if mine sounds like it should. I think it runs fantastic no major problems but its REALLY cranky when its cold. I don't dare drive it while its frozen I let it warm first it makes this HIDEOUS metallic sound that just sound absolutely destructive to me if I try to drive it before giving it 3-6 minutes to warm up so I let it warm up (does not make this sound if I just let is high idle and also never makes it when warm in fact I have never heard this sound till winter. I will make a recording when I leave work tonight so you can hear it.

I will add it to that folder above with a new date folder.

ALSO how do I do a search for all posts related to the 76 300d when I try to search by that it ignores the 76 as too short a search term but most people type 76 not 1976 ??

Mine sounds like a bag of *********s from a mile away. You can hear my cars coming long before I get there. Are they not supposed to be like that?
A lot like a baby's rattle, but more annoying,and a lot louder.

M90 supercharger feeding a GT35 turbocharger with and air to water intercooler and an M-pump with 7.5 mm elements. The pump was tested on a car with a T3/T4 with water injection and made 253 hp and 325 lb/ft of torque @ 30 PSI of boost.
