1987 SDL hidden fuel line
Thought my old biodiesel was the problem but found a leak in a small line running from the secondary filter to the base of the fuel injectors. How the heck do I get to that thing to switch it out? I can't seem to get enough room to get in pliers to pry the line off the nipple, let alone a wrench to get off the banjo bolt. Anybody got a trick for this one?
(Didn't find any chicken nuggets either but it can't hurt to look... Thanks! |

Which line are you talking about now I am confused. ARe you talking about the black or maybe its yellowish cloth injector return lines?? Thats the only line that goes from the fuel filter to an injector.
Or are you talking about the clear plastic fuel lines? If you are refering to the one on the inside of the IP you need to remove the intake manifold along with most of the injection lines to get a wrench on it. The outside two I did a few years ago and their is clearance.

injector pump line
The line is going from the injector pump to the secondary fuel filter. I'm crossing my fingers that it's not the one requiring that I take off the manifold...any tips on getting to that one? Thanks.

Is that the 3-way banjo fitting that has a clear line to the IP, a braided hose to the #1 injector and a rubber hose return to the tank? IIRC the intake manifold has to come off to get to the clear hose on the IP end.
