okay at 5:15 i am not too awake. maybe they were there. ther was some pieces of carboard all over the try fabric as well. i noticed them when i got back at 9:30. hmmmmm. i brought the car home and vacc'ed the interior.

i removed the m.d. from the hood now i have to check all over again to find out where these pesky meeces are hiding. i feel so violated:eek:

i hate meeces to peeces!!!

the plural form of mouse is mice... i get confused about it to but i was told its mice.. and plural form of moose is moose too.. enlish ist verwirrend

Get a pet snake, it will take care of the mouse problem!:D

I'd pull the seats out I bet they are hiding around the seats or in the conter console.

Get some traps
 

Get a couple of spring-type traps, and use peanut butter. Mice love the stuff. DO NOT use poison. A friend of mine use poison in his house, and he had to tear a part of the wall down to get to the smelly carcases. You will be surprise where they can hide in your car!

Mothballs...smelly but work.
Peppermint oil...it has to be oil, not the essence as that is mostly spirit.

Use a peddle activated mouse trap. Peanut butter etc....is messy and goes moldy.

anyone catch the episode of "pimp my ride" that had the car w the rat living in it? they removed the dash and there was a ton of poop behind there....looked like a biohazard area. i would get rid of the source then take the entire interior apart and clean everything. youre probably only seeing a small % of whats actually in there. good luck and make sure you wear protective coverings when cleaning.

You probably don't have too many squaters. But it is cold in Wisconsin and any thing they can get into and out of the weather they will use. If you just noticed them, they probably haven't been around long. But don't wait until mama gets pregnant, because then you will have a bunch. I would get the standard little trap with the plastic bait holder and just put on a real neat little dab of peanut butter. Nothing better for Mrs mouse. Put one on the passenger side floor and one on the rear floor. If you normally don't have someone ride in the back, catch the ones that have moved in and leave the trap in the back out as a welcome treat. Then also keep your eye open for any little hole they could use for an entrance.

So you put them in a live trap, run them outinto the woods where theyre going to die anyways?

My mom does the same thing, refuzes to squash a aisan lady beatle... INSTEAD she grabs it with a napkin and gently lofts it outside... Into 26* weather:silly:

Just kill it, its going to die... What about thoose high frequency things u can buy for your house? Any known effects to car electronics?

I have a story on a stove.

I had this fairly nice gas stove sitting in my garage.

One of my tenants had a stove that had seen better days and I promised them another stove. But, I had not been able to find a good used stove in the proper color (almond) close enough to my location.

So, I figure that I'll use the one in the garage. It's been sitting awhile but will probably do the trick once I clean it up.

Pull it out and spend about an hour in the cold getting it to look decent. I see some evidence of mice on the top........but.......didn't think much of it. It's a good looking stove and will function better than the one they have.

So, I bring it over and install it and convert it to LP gas and fire it up. It runs once.......then the gas valve sticks open. Great. Another trip. Get a gas valve the next day for $75.00 and return to the tenant that night and install the gas valve. Valve works great. OK. Let's set the thermostat and see if the stove reaches temperature.

Wait a few minutes and the kitchen fills up with the worst GD odor I have smelled in quite awhile. WTF is that? The entire house fills up with this god awful smell and it's coming from this stove. Open the oven.......nothing.

Smell the exhaust outlet above the oven in the back of the stove..............nearly choke on what appears to be mouse piss:eek:

Shut the GD thing down...........that's the end of that stove. The mice must have figured how to get beneath the deck and into the insulation between the oven and the deck up on top. No way to get in there and clean it without dismantling the entire stove.

So, now I'm out two stoves and one $75.00 gas valve..........terrific.:mad:

I get several Porsches a year with a rat or mouse nest built right on top of the engine oil cooler :eek:

When I get back to SoCal I will be dropping the engine on my 78 930 to clean one out of mine :mad:

The primo little 450SL I bought recently had a couple of pounds of rat poop in the engine compartment and all the vacuum lines had been chewed away. I'm lucky they didn't get inside the passenger compartment, eh?

the traps with peanut butter.

kill em. flush them down the toilet. put them in the trash. get rid of them. they are cute but a huge nuisance.

I have not had much luck using peanut butter, but a bit of apple gets 'em every time.
