SD seat switch

I replaced the driver's seat switch on the SD, today, with a new one.

The old one is available for parts for anyone who needs it........no charge.

Advise via forum......or PM.

This is a case of finally replacing a switch that was broken. I've had the switch for a year............finally decided that I'd put the damn thing in.

BTW, switch is spoken for.............must be a demand for these things.

This one had three plugs that plug straight onto the pins in the back. I can't imagine the vehicle having soldered leads from the factory??? Must have been a PO hack job.

Thanks for the switch offer, Brian. I've got a fair switch that I can make into a very good one with a few internal parts so I'll put it to good use. I was going to switch some of the internals with my passenger side switch, but this will be a better solution. Thanks again.

The soldered switch connectors were in like 1981..82~ on the 126 and then they went to the plug-in. It's nice this is a plug-in type...will make my job easier.

My '82 had the driver's side soldered in and the passenger side plugged in. Now, both sides have plugs.

Thumbs up

The ones on my SD are beat up. I have to jiggle the switch to get the seat to move.

As I understand it all pre 1983 1/2 had soldered in switches. Mine had one of each. One had already been changed. Repairing these switches is very easy.

Anytime. I was hoping someone could use it. I was going to simply toss it, but, I just have trouble with that.

That's amazing. I can just picture the assembly line. Is there one fellow there chasing connections with a soldering gun??
