Actually in track testing wagons usually faster lap times than coupes or sedans due to better aerodynamics. And yes my wagon is a race car- I just have to find a unsuspecting 240D or a french diesel to race...

Holy cow. I have a '92 1ton like this and I'd be afraid the front end would snap if it were autocrossed. That cummins is a heavy sucker. Rebuilt the front end twice since I've owned it. Worse driving vehicle I own, rides like crap, gets 24mpg of wvo, pulls just about anything hooked to it.

He invested 20K in car but selling for 7200?

What is he doing ?

A. Quitting driving altogether? Doubtful .

B. Rich and has a better race car? Doubtful. His price is firm.

C. On hard times and needs some cash and the 82 Toyota wont bring much? Possibly.

D. Realized the car will just keep costing money to maintain and is getting out it ? Possibly.

E. Exaggerated the 20K figure and it is probably more like 10K including purchase price or 20K and he bought the car 15 years ago? Possibly.

I dont know but that is a little scary to hear of putting 20K in a used car.
