Mono Valve

I have a 1985 300D that I believe needs to have the mono valve replace. Where is is located? Any pics would be helpful.
Thank you,

The monovalve is located in the engine compartment against the firewall, and a little off of the battery toward the center of the car. It should have a couple of wires hooked to the top of it thru a small connector. Will also have water hoses connected on side and bottom, I believe.

Are you sure you need to replace the whole monovalve unit? Maybe all you need to replace is the insert which may have a torn diaphragm.

When these fail, unless they are leaking, usually the valve body itself is OK and you'll only need to remove/replace the insert (available from Phil). This subject is well covered in the archives. It's a pretty simple job.
